Have you been crushed in life lately? Do you feel badly beaten – knocked out by one punch after another? Do you feel like you can no longer go on?
Before surrendering to the pain, frustration, defeat and hopelessness, why not consider surrendering all those heavy loads into God’s hands.
Yes, it is tempting to just drop everything and put an end to your struggles, but what good will it cause you if you will just give up ? Is that how you would like your story to end – Defeated?
Defeat does not happen when you don’t get what you want, it happens when you give up on the battle.
Do not put a limit on what you can do and what God can do in your life. You are given the power to chart your own destiny and don’t waste that power by succumbing to doubts and fears.
You may have failed today, but that doesn’t determine what will happen to your tomorrow. It is still all up to you.
Get up. Stand from where you fall. Gather yourself back all together and fight once more. Remind yourself that you are not born to lose, you are made to win.
As you go on in life, allow us to send you some treats to quench your thirst from time to time. Bring these comforting words with you:
- YOUR BEST COMES OUT WHEN YOU ARE BEING SQUEEZED.
When life hits you badly and difficulties are stretching you in both ends, it will challenge you to bring out whatever strength you may have been keeping within yourself. Have you noticed that in order to produce the finest wine, grapes had to be squeezed? How about olive oils? Is not that olives had to be crushed? It is when you are crushed and squeezed that the best of you comes out.
“More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” [Romans 5:3-5]
Your perseverance in times of sufferings will squeeze you until you produce the best ability and best character. It will expand and stretch you like rubber band, making you flexible and adaptable to the situation no matter how difficult or complicated it is. It will force you to do amazing things you never thought you are capable of doing.
It is when you are at your most difficult times that you will be supplied with power you most needed. During this time, allow God to provide you the sufficient strength to empower you so you will come out of this difficult time undefeated.
- YOU ARE BEING EQUIPPED FOR A GREATER PLAN.
God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. God won’t you give something without a justifiable reason, just as He won’t give you something beyond what you can endure. He knows your very core. He knows what you are capable of doing. He knows what you need. He knows exactly how to prepare and equip you to be the best version of yourself – for His greatest plans.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” [Jeremiah 29:11]
If you are in tough times now, that is not punishment – that is just part of the training. God wants to prepare you for bigger triumphs. If you are on a test, it is because God wants to equip you so you can handle greater and bigger things. He doesn’t want you to waste what He has prepared for your future and that is why He is pruning and preparing you now.
- YOUR GREATEST PAIN CAN LEAD YOU TO YOUR GREATEST CALLING.
You may be in a state where your pain is greater than your understanding. You probably have questions in mind that you’re unable to answer. Whatever that is hurting you, no matter how much it hurts, don’t let it go without changing you – for the best. It is easier said than done, but your greatest pain is sometimes the only and best way to lead you where God is calling you. God may use your struggles and wounds to heal you and heal other people. God may use your pain to launch you in your calling. The challenge is to listen to His voice in the midst of your sufferings. That challenge is actually an invitation to your calling. So even before you give up, think about that invitation. Would you turn it down?
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” [Romans 8:28]
Continue doing the right thing. Remember that everything will work together for your good.
- YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD.
They say that you will only know how faithful you are once your faith has been tested; and you will only know God’s love once you experienced it through his blessings and miracles.
God loves you. Allow Him to love you and to bless you in different ways. Allow Him to renew your strength and increase your faith. Sometimes, God will give you difficulties not to destroy you but to take you away from the very thing that is keeping you away from Him – Sin. Sometimes, He will use trials to challenge you and take you out from Mediocrity, because you have so much potentials. Whatever is the purpose of tribulation in your life it is always for your best.
God’s plan is to prosper you. Allow yourself to be loved and to experience miracles in your life.
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” [Isaiah 40:31]
Don’t give up. There is a greater plan for you – a Victory. Keep going.
God loves you. Trust Him.
